Ken (played by Greg Davies – The Inbetweeners , Man Down, This is Jinsy) is married to his beloved wife, Lorna (Helen Victoria Baxendale – Kidnap and Ranson, Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Anonymus). Married for years they have raised their daughter Rachel (Esther Smith) with care and love. She had grown up and went to college. Now finally she is coming back and they can’t wait to pick her up from the airport. But she comes with a surprise. Returning from her gap year, she is now married. Her husband? Dale “Cuckoo” ( Andy Samberg – Neighbors, The To Do List, The Watch), and there is nothing ordinary about him.
Every parent’s nightmare, he is a hippy from America, an eccentric and extremely opinionated man; he believes in the power of love and condemns capitalism; unemployed and a drug user – he is there to turn their lives upside down.
Cuckoo is a brilliant clash of culture and generations with witty lines and completely believable characters.
